I met the lovely Eric and Judith Cheyne on my visit to the Highland Branch earlier this year. They are the cornerstone of this friendly and active branch. So I was delighted to receive the news from Ron King that both of them have recently received Certificates of Merit.

"They have given loyalty and leadership to our Branch for twenty years and this seemed a fitting time to show our appreciation. However, they were warned that these Certificates were not to be regarded as Exit Visas from the President and Committee posts they currently occupy!
The attached picture was taken at our successful pre-Christmas lunch with thirty-four members and guests attending. Eric carried off his role as MC in his usual exemplary fashion and Judith had organised the raffle with prizes for everyone"
