Group Visit: Bath Group AGM
11 February 2010
Like many of our groups, the Bath Group struggled with the adverse weather conditions in January and as a result had to postpone their AGM. Donald Dodgson, the Chairman, contacted Fellowship Office to ask if we could help him to get in touch with all the beneficiaries to inform them of the new date for the AGM. I posted over 500 invitations to members in the area, which resulted in an increased attendance at the meeting and several new group volunteers!
The AGM part and election and re-election of the committee was followed by a short talk by Don Carter, the Branch Chairman, who informed the group about recent branch developments, and I was able to comment and add any relevant updates from our office. After the business part I could then enjoy a cup of coffee and a chat with the members.
I learned that a small group of members might be visiting Greenwich soon and hopefully will be able to pop into Fellowship Office to say hello. So I might be reporting on a reversed group visit soon!
