Group Visit: Trowbridge

I visited the lovely and lively Trowbridge Group on 3rd February. The group has two regular meetings per month – one coffee morning and one speaker meeting – and I was able to join them for coffee and biscuits at a beautiful local pub, The Wiltshire Yeoman in Trowbridge.

The Chairman, John Lawrence, and Secretary Peter Collins, made me feel very welcome and told me a little bit about their group activities. The Trowbridge Group, they said, is probably the most active group in the Bath & District Branch. They often organise outings and coach trips and have about 35 – 40 regular attendees and even attracted 10 new members over the past year.

Everybody at the group seems to be very energetic and is enjoying life and their Fellowship meetings. At the coffee morning John also presented Auditor Bernard Lovell with a Certificate of Merit – well, done Bernard!

Thanks to all the volunteers for putting in so much hard work- I hope the Trowbridge Group continues to thrive!
