News from Highland Branch

The opportunity was taken at the monthly meeting of Highland Branch No 121 on 3 March 2010 to present a Certificate of Merit to Ronald King, the ex-Treasurer of the Branch for the past ten years. At the Branch A.G.M. on 3 February 2010, because of ill-health Ron chose to retire and all wish him a speedy recovery.

The difficulty in getting a replacement Treasurer was that nobody wished to emulate Ron's magnificent efforts as Treasurer, particularly as he had performed so many additional tasks as well. In presenting the Certificate of Merit to Ron, Chairman Eric Cheyne commented that he felt as though he was losing his right hand before going on to wish him well for the future.
