Thanks to Phyllis, who opens up the hall, cranks up the heating and has the coffee ready by the time everybody arrives at the meeting venue we had quite a comfortable start to our recruitment open day at the Methodist Church in Gateshead.

This sentiment was further heightened following the arrival of Branch Chairman Elsa Jackson plus donuts. The Bring & Buy stall also proved quite popular and many of us won prizes at the raffle.

All in all, I think we had a good day and hope that the group continues to welcome new members at their meetings and events.
