Please note the following important news:

Subscriptions from 1 January 2010

A Motion was passed at the Annual Conference on 6 August 2009 authorising the Board of Directors to increase annual subscriptions by between £3.00 and £6.00 a year (ie between 25p and 50p per month) with effect from 1 January 2010 should it be felt necessary to do so.

The Board of Directors met on 13 October and decided to increase subscriptions by 40p per month so the new figures with effect from 1 January 2010 are as follows:

1. For serving Civil Servants, former Civil Servants who have not yet retired and Civil Servants who retired with a Civil Service pension

Annual: £24.00
Monthly: £2.00
Weekly: £0.46

2. For widows/widowers of Civil Servants, former Civil Servants who have not yet retired and Civil Servants who retired without a Civil Service or
other occupational pension:

Annual: £12.00
Monthly: £1.00
Weekly: £0.23

It was decided to leave Life Membership subscriptions for categories 1 and 2 at £391.00 and £217.00 respectively.


Payments for Social Room Hire - 2009

At its meeting on 13 October the Board of Directors also authorised the immediate payment of pending claims (amounting to approximately £4,700) on top of the nearly £6,000 already paid.

It was also decided to set aside a further amount of £8,500 for any other claims for the year not yet submitted to be paid on a “first-come-first-served” basis after which no more claims for the year 2009 would be accepted.
