A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who filled in our feedback survey earlier this year. We take your comments extremely seriously so please find a full of responses to some of the feedback we received, here.

Survey method:

In January 2018 we sent out our annual survey to all volunteers and beneficiaries of our service.  All beneficiaries received a paper copy by post, along with an explanatory letter and freepost reply envelope.  Volunteers received an email copy via Survey Monkey, but those without email received a postal copy. All of the surveys were anonymous. Of the 293 surveys sent, we received 147 of them back, a 50.5% response rate overall.

The questions were aimed at understanding the satisfaction of the service, for both volunteers and beneficiaries, as well as giving us real examples of their experiences to pass on to our funders, for reporting and use in our advertising.

The results in a nutshell:

  • The beneficiaries are generally female (79.5%) and most are in their 80s (53.5%), with 81% of people aged 80+.
  • Our beneficiaries and volunteers score us on average 4.5/5
  • Volunteers would like more communication with the office
