Mercy Ships UK provides medical care and free surgeries for the underserved in Africa and is staffed by volunteers on their charity hospital ship, the Africa Mercy. This subject has proved popular with many of our groups hosting the charity to give a talk about their services.

This time its the turn of the Lisburn group which is one of our larger groups and meets monthly on second Monday of the month at 2.30pm at the Bridge Community Centre on Railway Street in Lisburn. They will be having a talk on the Mercy Ships at their meeting on 10th February 2020.

The group attracts a lot of local retirees along to its meetings and provides a friendly welcoming forum for any visitors with its programme of speakers, day trips and lunches.

Forthcoming highlights for the group include a visit to Brownlow House (14th October), a talk by RSPB (11th November) and the group's annual Christmas lunch at the Mulberry Tree, Seaforde (9th December).
