Aloe vera is a succulent plant species of the genus Aloe.

An evergreen perennial, it originates from the Arabian Peninsula but grows wild in tropical climates around the world and is cultivated for agricultural and medicinal uses. It's importance is the focus of the talk scheduled for the February 2020 meeting of our Gloucester group.

The group meets on the First Thursday of the month at 2pm at Christchurch Abbeydale in Gloucester and welcomes all former civil servants and any local retirees to every meeting.
