Services Local community groups Local Group Network Our group network is the rock upon which our charity was built over 50 years ago and remains an important part of the services we provide to our beneficiaries today. Our groups provide an important forum for friendship and companionship at the heart of local community offering everything from visiting speakers, days out, theatre trips, pub lunches, walking activities, skittles and the odd session of Beetle Drive or Bingo! Sadly with a drop in available volunteers to help run the groups the number we have operating has fallen in recent years, although we are always happy to discuss the opening of new groups with anyone interested. Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: UPDATE: 9th July 2021 Our Group Network and Home Visiting Service (National Visitors Network) will remain closed until the end of July. But from 1st August our group network and home visiting service will begin to re-open. This will inevitably take some time as both services have been closed for 18 months and there may also be some time scale differences in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. However for updates on local groups we'd advise you contact the local group contact to find out what their timescale is for re-opening and for news about our Home Visiting service please you can call 020 8691 7411 or email: [email protected] Finding your nearest group To find our whether there's a group near you you can use our postcode search and if there is a group close to you it will show you more details. If there is no telephone number listed on the group page or if you can't find a group local to you then do contact us on 020 8691 7411 as we'd be happy to help you further.
