Services Local community groups Local Group Network Our group network is the rock upon which our charity was built over 50 years ago and remains an important part of the services we provide to our beneficiaries today. Our groups provide an important forum for friendship and companionship at the heart of local community offering everything from visiting speakers, days out, theatre trips, pub lunches, walking activities, skittles and the odd session of Beetle Drive or Bingo! Sadly with a drop in available volunteers to help run the groups the number we have operating has fallen in recent years, although we are always happy to discuss the opening of new groups with anyone interested. We will be working with our group leaders and volunteer befrienders in the coming months to prepare for a potential resumption of services in Spring 2021. UPDATE: 3rd September 2020 Following the Board of Directors meeting that took place today (3rd September) it has been agreed that our current suspension of all group activities and home visiting services will remain in place until the end of 2020. We will be working with our group leaders and volunteer befrienders in the coming months with the intention of seeing a resumption of these services early in 2021. UPDATE: 25th June 2020 Following the Board of Directors meeting taking place today (25th June) it has been agreed that all group activities and home visiting services will remain suspended until September.
