Putting Friendship First

The Civil Service Retirement Fellowship group network is the rock upon which our charity was built over 50 years ago and remains an important part of the services we provide to our beneficiaries today.

All our groups provide an important forum for friendship and companionship at the heart of the local community offering everything from visiting speakers, days out, theatre trips, pub lunches, walking activities, skittles and the odd session of Beetle Drive or Bingo!

This year’s appeal places our group network at the centre of our fundraising activities as we aim to raise £20,000 to add to our current local community group support fund. The fund was created following the success of our 2019 Connecting Our Communities fundraising initiative. Thanks to this we were able to provide social room hire grants to our small to medium sized groups to help them cover some of the costs of the rooms they meet in.

How can I help?

All donations we receive will help towards hitting our target. You can make an individual donation via cheque (made payable to ‘The CSRF’) or you can donate online by clicking the DONATE button on this page, selecting the amount you want to donate and using your credit/debit card to make the payment.

Alternatively, you might consider putting on an event to help raise funds (such as a cake sale or raffle at a local group or within your department) or by undertaking an activity (e.g. sponsored walk or run) that you could be sponsored for by colleagues, family and friends.
