Why I volunteered for the National Visitors Network - Phoebe's story from David Tickner on Vimeo.

The National Visitors Network is supported by a team of volunteers from across the country who share a common goal of helping to ensure we can help beat loneliness in later life.

In the video above, Phoebe (who has been visiting for nearly a year) shares her experiences of the Network and why she got involved as a volunteer.

How do I get involved?
It’s thanks to the time and commitment of our Visitors that we have been able to make a real difference to so many people.
But we need more of you!

To help ensure that you are equipped with the skills you need for visiting it is a requirement that all Visitors attend a training session.

Training sessions last for a maximum of two hours and are carried out either by telephone or face to face with one of our team. They provide an important opportunity to give you more information about the role of a visitor, what to expect on your first visit and how we support you throughout your time as a volunteer.

Training sessions take place regularly and travel expenses are reimbursed so if you’re interested then please contact us using the one of the contacts shown below.

If you'd like to chat about any aspect of volunteering on the National Visitors Network please call us on 020 8691 7411 (all calls treated in strictest confidence) or email:
