It’s thanks to the time and commitment of our visitors and buddy's that we have been able to make a real difference to so many people.
But we need more of you! Below is a bit more info on what's required to get started.

Phone buddy

Just pick up the phone and call us on 020 8691 7411 or email us and we’ll send you a confidentiality agreement and evaluation form to fill out. The form is used to help match you to a buddy or call recipient. We arrange your first call and then you set the pace and frequency of your calls between you.

National Visitors Network

To become a volunteer visitor, just call us on 020 8691 7411 or email us and we'll send you an application pack.

Our visitors provide social contact to those who may be isolated or lonely, to  help ensure that you are equipped with the skills you need for visiting it is a requirement that all visitors attend a training session, these can be in person or over the phone and last up to 2 hours. They provide an important opportunity to give you more information about the role of a visitor, what to expect on your first visit and how we support you throughout your time as a volunteer.

We ask for a volunteering commitment of 6 months, visiting for up to an hour a week. Volunteers are matched with people with similar interests and who live as near to them as possible, with the first visit arranged through us.  We usually suggest a maximum travel time of up to an hour by public transport or around 30 miles (maximum) by car.  All reasonable travel costs are reimbursed.

If you’d like to know more information, or to have an informal chat with us about volunteering, we’d love to hear from you.  Call us on 020 8691 7411.
