Local News

27 September 2016 (Event in past)
As the evenings are drawing in we are looking forward to our Autumn programme particularly our ever popular American Supper and our Christmas lunch at the buzzy restaurant, Casa Nostra, opposite Sutton Station.  Our festive lunch there last year was a great success.  We look back at our wide ranging programme in 2016 which included three outings, the one to the Cinema Museum in Kennington being a particular success.  We will have more outings next year and possibly a theatre outing during the winter. Details will be announced at our meetings.  Newcomers are particularly welcome at any of our meetings.

12 May 2016 (Event in past)
In April we had a second visit to 2 Temple Place to see this year's exhibition which was much enjoyed by all the party, followed by an excellent lunch in a nearby hostelry.  We are now looking forward to afternoon tea at the Ham Yard Hotel.  This will be our second visit to this new and amazing hotel.  There is much competition for places on the party.  One of our recent meetings which stands out was Ian Currie, a local weatherman, who talked about Frost Fairs but as regards the current weather said the average temperature in April was lower than in the proceeding 4 months but that we should have a good summer. Let's hope he is right!
